Sigh… Here we go again.

Venture around the internet long enough, and you’ll stumble upon the conspiracy theory that Stevie Wonder isn’t blind.

The “evidence” for this theory seems to be that Stevie Wonder knows how to navigate the world and occasionally does things that some people claim indicate he knows where he’s looking.

In reality, Wonder can probably see some form of light or large shapes like most blind people, and any indication that he’s actually sighted is probably due to a misunderstanding of the fact that blind doesn’t mean “has zero visual capabilities whatsoever.”

That said, his lack of sight does produce some interesting moments, like this story from Carmelo Anthony in which he claimed that Stevie Wonder told him that he liked watching him play… Wait a minute, watching?
