There’s a reason they tell you not to pour gasoline straight onto a fire. First, kaboom. Second, the gas doesn’t stop burning at the fire itself. Instead, it can travel back up the spout and get into the can from which you’re pouring it, causing the whole thing to blow up in your hands.
