This church in Texas appears to be planning quite the show for its Christmas celebrations.
In what looks like a dress rehearsal, this absolutely massive Texas church features floating drummers hanging from the ceiling and playing, while they appear to fly up the aisles. 'Jesus' is displayed in giant letters as their backdrop. More akin to something out of the circus, or perhaps the latest Marvel movie set, this clip is understandably drawing shock and criticism alike. It is hard to imagine that the figure of Jesus, who says in the bible, "whoever humbles himself... is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven," would condone a show like this. It also certainly uses funds that could go a long way in actually helping people in need.
This hardly seems like the work of a group truly committed to the benefit of the community. One person comments, "Yeah we’re gonna have to start taxing some of that." We would tend to agree. I guess everything really is bigger in Texas.
