Cutting a tree down is harder than it seems. Well, the cutting part is pretty easy; it’s the aftermath that can be a pain in the rear.

As this video shows, once a tree starts falling, it’s really, really difficult to control where it will go. If you’re an expert, you can cut a tree in a specific way to prevent the log from falling on your head. However, if you’re just some dude with a chainsaw, that piece of timber is going to fall wherever it damn well pleases — including right onto your ladder.
