Wayback Whensday: 20 Ads and Products From 2004 That Are Now Vintage
For vintage and antique connoisseurs, there's a general rule of thumb when it comes to defining what is “vintage.” After 20 years you can officially call products from that period vintage. That means that 2004 is officially, “vintage.”
For this week’s Wayback Whensday we’re going back 20 years and are preparing you for the joint pain you will feel when a Gen Alpha kid refers to an iPod Mini as vintage. Before you start seeing white and pass out, they are technically true in their vintage definition. Lil Jon’s energy drink Crunk will join the likes of Crystal Pepsi in vintage fad drinks that go for way too much on eBay. For all you gamers, this year also marks 20 years since the introduction of the Nintendo DS, PSP, and Nokia’s failed handheld console, N-Gage.
From iPod socks to a mobile version of Wikipedia called Wapedia, 2004 was an interesting time that we can now officially call “old.” It’s hard to face the music but you can’t fight the passage of time.
Warning this post may cause Millennials and Gen X-ers immense knee and neck pain.
