wtf
This Sample Monthly Budget, produced by Visa and McDonald's in 2013, to show that employees can survive on the $8.25 minimum wage, has resurfaced and people are outraged. Though now dated, the graph still strikes us as out of touch, and forgetting the cost of groceries, and heat aren't the worst thing about it. Also, who the hell is working two damn jobs and only bringing home 2k a month, even in 2013?

Visa and McDonald have teamed up to troll America, at least that's what this look like on the surface. This mock-up Sample Monthly Budget created by Visa and McDonald's in 2013, has to be a joke right? I mean, even for 2013, the premise of only making 2k a month, working two jobs sounds kind of 1990's doesn't it? Are we a first world country? Was this written by children? Where is the food? The heat? The drugs? Please, Visa McDonald's if you wanted to know what it was like to be a broke loser YOU SHOULD HAVE CALLED. -

And yeah, many people jumped on the $600 dollars a month in rent thing. Many places around the country that's not unheard. But when taking into consideration how many people live on the coasts, this budget begins to look more than a little funny, it's straight up parody. -
