Twitter Highlights: The Best Reactions To The SAG-AFTRA Strike
On Thursday, July 13, the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television, and Radio Artists, which represents approximately 160,000 actors, officially went on strike as negotiations between the union and major studios failed to result in a deal.
“The companies have refused to meaningfully engage on some topics and on others completely stonewalled us,” SAG-AFTRA president Fran Drescher said of the union’s decision to strike, one that coincides with the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike. “Until they do negotiate in good faith, we cannot begin to reach a deal.”
“You have to wake up and smell the coffee.”
