In case anyone was confused, hearing aids are not the same as earbuds.
For redditor u/xKatastrophex it was no walk in the park dealing with a manager who didn't understand the difference.
Newsflash, we're living in 2022. Bluetooth technology has made it possible for music to now be played directly through a pair of hearing aids. As cool as that capability is, it's not like this person was going to be listening to music during the workday. The manager felt differently, and put a ban on the hearing aids.
Even worse is that the manager - aptly named Karen - cites the fact that the employee isn't actually deaf, but just "hard of hearing." Therefore they don't NEED hearing aids.
