Despite doing their damndest to prove that Kate Middleton (a.k.a. Kate, Princess of Wales) hasn’t gone Gone Girl on Prince William’s, issuing a very PR-ed statement and allowing paps to snap a poorly-received photo of the royal, the firm found themselves yet again fueling rumors surrounding Kate’s whereabouts — this time, by releasing a Photoshopped snap of Khloe Kardashian proportions.
From Kardashian comparisons to a possible Weekend at Bernie’s reboot, here are 25 memes and reactions to the Royal Family’s latest Photoshop fail.

The fiasco began on Sunday when Middleton headed to Twitter with a Mother’s Day message for her U.K. constituents. Here is the photo that Kate posted online with the caption, "Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the last two months. Wishing everyone a Happy Mother's Day. C" -

Yet more than her sweet sentiment, one element of her post managed to steal the show — the photo’s resemblance to something out of a KarJenner fever dream. “Not going to lie, this photoshop job is so bad that it's got me invested in this Kate Middleton scandal,” wrote @ItsDietrich while @amanblick came up with their own theory. -

Though Middleton ultimately hit Twitter with an apology, claiming that she had made the offending errors herself — “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing,” she wrote in what may be the understatement of the century — others had a whole lot of thoughts on Princess Kate’s Kardashian arc. -
