"Was working outside of my house and saw a strange object in the water."

At first glance it looked like a dead heron, but it was standing up with a fish hanging out of its mouth.

Its neck was contorted in a very strange shape.

"As I got closer, I could see that it was still breathing... Zombie bird!?!"

"I decided to grab the pool skimmer and some towels. I was not going in the water, we got gators! It didn't put up too much of a fight. One I got it up on dry land, I could see what was going on. The bird got a catfish, but the sharp barbs on the catfish did their job and prevented the bird from eating the fish."

"The barbs went through the bottom of the beak and up into the top of the mouth as well. Poor dude. Catfish was dead... put up a good fight though."

"After pinning the Heron down with my legs and prying open the beak with my hands, I was able to slowly remove the fish from its mouth."

"It ran away! Been watching it for a few hours and it seems to be doing ok."
