Apparently, everybody has been kidnapped at least once.

Over the weekend, Twitter user @slimeguyethan asked other users to “share a piece of lore about yourself.” The responses or 'lore' varied from cute anecdotes about getting a fake I.D. to horrifying revelations about being kidnapped at 5 years old. 

Everyone’s childhood is different, especially if you're a user of Twitter and have sitcom scenarios for childhood memories. One user lied to their mother about their father cheating to get them to divorce, and it turns out it was true. Another user gave themselves wolverine claws so they could stab their elementary school bully during the Christmas show. And yes, it was very effective.
