WandaVision Characters Ranked From Best to Worst
Yeah, WandaVision was last week's news, but we've been busy recollecting our lives after being half captive for months on end, so the younger sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen could live out one last lucid sex dream.
And in a stray from the norm, we're going from best to worst.

Wanda - Elizabeth Olsen
Wanda is the star of the series, and for good reason, it's her show! Wanda is extremely powerful both in the MCU and the comics, especially so in the comics, and WandaVision starts to show us just how powerful the Scarlet Witch is. She’s known for House of M where she eliminated all but 198 mutants in the Marvel multiverse, and in this series, she's struggling to deal with the loss of Vision. For a show that was only so-so, Elizabeth Olsen's portrayal of Wanda is the best part. -
2.
Her transformation into the Scarlet Witch will please fans of the MCU, as the last few episodes are chock-full of cool fight scenes and power-ups. But that's about it. Wanda briefly feels for the people she held captive, before watching Vision and her sons vanish. While we may have wanted more tension between her and the townspeople of Westview, the final battle is cool enough to forget some of our disappointment. -

4.
Agatha Harkness - Kathryn Hahn
Kathyrn Hahn did an incredible job portraying the terrifying and mysterious Agatha Harkness. Though many fans of the comics had hoped Mephisto would be revealed as the one pulling the strings, Agatha endeared herself to fans in more ways than one. Not only was she the perfect nosy neighbor, but Hahn's acting was seriously meme-worthy. -
5.
But our lasting impression of Agatha is how her reveal set her up as an instant counter-bad to Hawayrd and a much more interesting one too. Agatha also helped the MCU transition into the world of magic and witches. Until her reveal most MCU magic had been referred to as sorcery and this shows a break from the grounded 'science' nature of Marvel films. -
6.
The other half of the title card is Vision. A humanoid created by Tony Stark, who's just trying to find his way in a world he is no longer a part of. Vision was maybe the most meme's character of the show, being budded DaVision, for wearing a black turtle neck, but it's his struggle to save innocents while remaining loyal to Wanda which moves his character through the series. -
7.
Vision - Paul Bettany
The other half of the title card is Vision. A humanoid created by Tony Stark, who had his head peeled back by Thanos, who in WandaVision has been brought back to life by Wanda. You can argue that Vision, not Wanda is the heart of the show, as his death leads Wanda into a world of her own creation as an escape from her feelings of pain. Though he mostly does what she wants, halfway through the season he begins to realize what is really going on and that the town of Westview has been taken, hostage. A trick we later learned is all part of Agatha's plan, yet he's the only one who seems aware. -
8.
And next to Agatha, Vision was the second most meme'd character, funny, how has become a gage for fan reception, but when Vision showed up on screen in a black turtle neck, DaVision was born. Photoshops of Vision in chains and du-rags began popping up as people saw this image as being memeable. -
9.
Monica Rambeau - Teyonah Parris
There is more to Monica Rambeau than WandaVision tells the audience. And while her character arch seems to level off in the end, she is the only other character besides Wanda, who has a direction of their own. She's on a mission to save Wanda from herself, and after reappearing after the 'blip', she's on a mission to save SWORD as well. Monica plays both victim and hero, being trapped inside Wanda's town, getting kicked out and returning again, only to receive some cool new powers. We can't say for certain, but the way things left off, we'd bet you can expect to see more of her in future Wanda stories. -
10.
Director Hayward - Josh Stamberg
Director Hayward, head of SWORD was a pretty bad, bad guy. He walked around all high and mighty, while we waited for him to show his true colors, and right before the Agatha reveal, we begin to wonder where the tension is building. Basically, he recreated Visiona and sets him loose on Westview, trying to take out Wanda, and rightfully so, she's taken an entire town hostage. But in the end, he really crossed the line when he tries to shoot her kids. Not cool dude! -
11.
Hayward is a dick, there’s no other way to describe him, he’s an egomaniac on a power trip that thinks he’s the good guy and that his word is law because he’s the head of SWORD. Turns out he’s just another guy that thinks he’s better than everyone else and tries to make everyone else suffer because of it. -
12.
Darcy Lewis - Kat Dennigs
Darcy Lewis, the girl in the chair, played by Kat Dennings is the 'us' character that helps the audience understand and laugh at what we're watching. She the one who finds and watches Wanda's tv show, the one that's being projected by Wanda herself. With a show that features a show inside of the show, we need characters like Darcy to break the thin ice. Her best line might be when Pierto shows up again, but when he is played by Evan Peters, and not the original Pierto, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, she says, "She recast Pierto", which is both funny and true, in the show and in the real world. So she gets props for that. -
13.
Jimmy Woo - Randall Park
Randall Park, aka Asian Jim, was a quiet fan favorite. His comic relief and all-around good attitude endeared him to fans. If you have seen Ant-Man you'll notice he did eventually learn the card trick Scott showed him all those years ago, and yes Randall really did the trick on camera, there is no CGI funny business here. While Jimmy Woo does everything right, he never really makes a mistake or grows, and so for that, he comes out a little flat. -
14.
Billy is the other of Wanda’s sons that in Marvel comics grows up to be a powerful mutant named Wiccan. His powers haven’t fully awakened just yet in the MCU but they’re growing and he stood with his family in a fight for their lives, using his magical abilities to defend himself and his brother while Wanda and Vision protected the town. -
15.
Monica Rambeau is the daughter of the original founder of SWORD in the Marvel Universe and she’s one of the people that disappeared for 5 years after the events of Infinity War. Her character is written in such a nuanced way that you can’t help but feel for her when she’s trying to get adjusted to her new life in a world that’s passed her by, while she’s also trying to help save one of her closest friends, Wanda. -
16.
Billy - Julian Hilliard
Wanda's sons are an odd addition to the series. Billy, who in the comics becomes Wiccan, only begins to test his powers in the final few episodes, the culmination of which is stopping the bullets fired from Director Hayward in his final attempt to win. Wanda's children don't feel grounded in the story and cause little to no drama. There is a brief moment when they are trapped in Agatha's magic ropes, and again at the end, but these moments aren't very impactful. It seems they were only there to disappear, and when they did, it didn't have the impact it should have. -

Billy as Wiccan. -

Pietro got killed off in Age of Ultron and that was the end of him, or so we thought. He ended up making a return during Wandavision in a way that surprised new fans and long time viewers alike. His character wasn’t that fun or interesting but it was nice seeing him come back. -
19.
Pietro - Evan Peters
Now, this list could have ended with a few characters, but Pierto represents a few of the show's character problems in one, so we thought hey, let's go out with a bang. WandaVision is without question a flawed show. It breaks a few tenants of storytelling that you should not break, and that's rewarding your audience for their time and not wasting it. Pierto has no purpose, other than to trick the audience into believing Wanda is the only witch in town. He keeps her twins trapped for a scene, but that's really all he does. He shows up, makes the audience go "wow" and then just exists. This is where WandaVision was lacking. Just because something sounds cool, or looks cool, that does not make it interesting to watch. If a gun shows up in a story, it better go off, and when WandaVision ended, I still had a few rounds left in my chamber. -
20.
The Skrulls haven’t played a massive part in the MCU yet but they showed up in the end of the series and it turns out that multiple members of the FBI have been replaced by the Skrulls. No one knows what they want just yet, but wherever they go, the Skrulls always seek power and conquest, We only got a teaser of them but from what we’ve seen, they look like they’re starting to build an army.
