Twitter's Community Notes are kind of like that kid in class who corrects someone who was just making a joke. Conceptually, no one likes them and they ruin the fun. But in reality, Community Notes really seem to show up when we most need them – to make a weird liar look bad. 

The best is when someone’s lying about just. for the lulz. When the Community Notes function was invented, we doubt they thought it would be used like this.  

Surreal, uncanny memes are great, but sometimes the best joke of all is the truth.
