On Thursday, the Philippines experienced a super typhoon named Usagi, which at time of writing has already triggered the evacuation of 24,000 people.
Fortunately we have fancy scientific equipment to let us know when storms like Usagi are coming, but even if we didn't, the locals would have known to prepare thanks to eerie red morning skies.
