22 Pictures from This Year's Great American Mud Wrestling Show
Is there anything more American than rolling around in some mud in honor of our nation's Independence Day? No, of course not. So for the second consecutive year, the Great American Mud Wrestling Show took place on the Sunday before July 4th in Ridgewood Brooklyn's
Trans-Pecos venu.
Mud wrestling might be something you associate more with the country than the big city; it's dirty, sexy, and feels like something pig farmers would be into. But event organizers November Girl frontwoman Willa Rudolph and Veronica leader Sofia Zarzuela feel right at home in the big city.
“Our vibe is definitely trashy Americana trailer park,” Rudolph said. “D.I.Y. grunge meets New York summer garbage.”
So if you're into a bunch of people wrestling in the mud before breaking out into a Brooklyn "femme-forward punk rock festival," check out these 22 pics of the 2024 Great American Mud Wrestling Show.
