The sharing of information online can be two sides of the same coin. While it's very easy to lie and spread misinformation, it's also just as easy to look some stuff up and figure out the truth. That's exactly what these 23 people did when they decided to fact-check their peers, and call them out for their baloney. 

In one post, an Instagram influencer shared photos of herself "hiking" through the woods. "Nature is the ultimate healer to all out problems," she wrote in her caption. The only problem was her brother, who photographed a complete behind-the-scenes documentary, exposing her for doing the whole thing in their backyard; fake lighting and all. So much for nature. 

Another post shows somebody posting a photo of their completed spaghetti carbonara. The dish looks absolutely fantastic - it's a personal favorite of mine - but all it took was a quick reverse image search to reveal that the photo was completely yanked off the page of a professional chef. Maybe next time this person will learn their lesson and show some food they cooked for themselves... that is if they even know how. Thank goodness for reverse image searching, it checks a lot of people.
