20 Times Someone Actually Objected at a Wedding
Weddings are one of society's most traditional practices, with many formalities carried over from the days when things were done a little bit differently. As a result, even though weddings are still fun and memorable events, little antiquated details remain, and occasionally cause chaos.
“Should anyone present know of any reason that this couple should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace.” It's a line right before the bride and groom are pronounced husband and wife, and was originally included to make sure someone had time to check if the marriage was legal.
