What makes streamers popular? In theory, fans love to watch funny people play cool games.
But if we’re being honest, nothing beats a good steamer meltdown. And we’ve got the breakdown of the funniest streamer meltdowns in recent memory.

BadBunny Calls Out Cheap Fans
For streamers, it’s tough to not say the quiet part out loud. For example, we all know that most streamers are hoping to develop money and fame from their hobby. But it’s considered bad form to remind fans that you’re mostly in this for the cold, hard cash.
Unfortunately, that’s exactly what BadBunny did on her January 18th stream last year. She basically went nuclear on the fans who hang out in her channel without paying anything. "There are regulars here. $5 a month!" she screamed. "What are you doing with your life where you have hours of time to watch Twitch and not $5 to provide for the content that you're watching?"
Many laughed at her for this dumb meltdown, but she actually got the last laugh: this notorious rant helped her double her subscribers and bring home more bacon from her streaming. -

GeorgeNotFound Discovers Cuss Words
Every once in a blue moon, a streamer meltdown ends up being more charming than offputting. This is what happened when Minecraft streamer GeorgeNotFound got uncharacteristically angry in a stream in May of 2021.
He was playing Minecraft Basketball Tournament with such major streamers as Dream, Subpoena, and Callahan. Callahan made a play that George thought should have been called off; when it wasn’t, he got a bit unhinged.
Most of his expletive-filled rant is familiar to anyone who gets annoyed at bad calls during competitive sports. But the fact that he ended a stream of F-word-filled sentences with the phrase “what the muffin” actually made the whole thing seem endearing instead of cringeworthy. -
3.
Shroud vs. The Judge
Compared to most streamers, Shroud is usually known for keeping his cool. But in May of 2021, he lost that legendary cool when discussing the Valorant weapon known as “The Judge.”
After getting insta-killed by that same weapon during a match, Shroud began ranting. “F****** Judges! Delete them from the game!" Shroud shouted, "Literally, Riot, click the button. Delete. That's it. Just get rid of them. Just get rid of them! It's that simple!"
Certainly, debates over which weapons are overpowered in competitive games is pretty common. But it’s tough not to watch the stream and just conclude that Shroud just had sour grapes over getting owned. -
4.
A Leafy in the Wind
Sometimes, it seems like popular streamers are practically immune from any real criticism or consequences. But as Leafy found out, it’s still possible for your past sins to come back and haunt you.
Rather than having a single meltdown moment, LeafyIsHere had a whole meltdown series on Youtube targeting fellow streamer Pokimane that were so bad that numerous high-profile streamers told him to knock it off. Undeterred, Leafy went on to create needless beef with other streamers like Ethan “H3H3” Klein.
This led to him getting banned from Youtube. When he tried to start over on Twitch, numerous streamers called him out on his previous behavior until Twitch banned his account. -

RAGE Masters Ragequitting
Do you type much when you watch a stream? Maybe you don’t type anything at all. If so, you’ve discovered the secret kryptonite of the appropriately-named streamer RAGE.
In August of 2018, he was streaming a game of We Happy Few. After a while, though, he noticed that nobody in the chat was typing anything or otherwise engaging. And this soon drove RAGE up the wall.
He ended up (ahem) ragequitting, but not before giving us this gem of a meltdown rant: ““All of you guys are d----, f------ d----. Two hours every time, I’m always on two hours every time. You guys f------ come in and you f------ act like you’re here, then f------ leave, and that’s how it is. I just have to get used to it, but it’s not f------ fair. Bye! F--- this stream, I’m f------ ending it. I’m f------ ending it right now! It’s f------ over.” -

BobbyPoff Is Hot Over a Bot
Every now and then, a streamer melts down over something we can relate to. And that’s what happened when BobbyPoff got killed by a player using an aimbot in Call of Duty: Warzone.
He complained about having to deal with cheaters for most of the 15 hours a day he plays the game. He then specifically calls out Activision for being “greedy” and only fixing things that directly affect their bottom line.
Playing a single game for nearly all of your waking hours is absolutely insane, of course. But it’s tough to not root for someone going off on both cheaters and Activision. -
7.
Alinity Gets a Little Too Real
There is a fine line between an angry meltdown and just being very open with your fans. And Alinity seemingly walked this line when she got a little too real.
After streamer Reckful committed suicide, she decided to open up about her own struggles. “You guys have no idea, how many times I wanted to kill myself, how many times I've spent my entire night trying to figure out how I was gonna end my life," she said, all while tears kept flowing.
After this incident, she had a heart-to-heart on stream with Dr. K where the two meditated on the toxic influence of internet culture. But this was controversial in and of itself because Alinity has often been accused of toxic words and behavior. -

DMBrandon Switches to Team Suicide
Many streamer controversies are a matter of opinion. One person’s hate speech, for example, maybe another person’s “heated gamer moment.”
However, DMBrandon managed to do something everyone can agree was evil and insane: mocking and harassing a suicidal fan! The fan in question simply tipped Brandon and told him that his Smite streams had helped the fan recover mentally after they attempted suicide.
For reasons completely unknown, Brandon started going off on the fan. He said that “I don't want to f***ing hear you're gonna kill yourself. You're putting a burden on me I don't deserve,” accuses the fan of “constant, ridiculous, self-pity bulls**t.” He then tells other suicidal fans that “if you decide you are going to end your own life or let this ridiculous debilitating disease ruin your life because you don't know how to deal with it, well then f***ing good." Before the rant, Brandon streamed for Hi-Rez Studios. After near-universal outcry from his fans, he issued a crappy apology and left Hi-Rez Studios behind. -

Greekgodx Gets Loud Over SoundCloud
Looking for some kind of trigger topic for streamers? If you want to get the most meltdowns per minute, you can’t go wrong with bringing up gender.
That’s a lesson we learned from Greekgodx. He was setting up a Soundcloud account on stream in September of 2019 when he noticed that the gender options included “other” and “prefer not to say” in addition to the usual “male” or “female.”
He then freaked the hell out and declared that “If you put 'other,' they should say, 'Sorry, SoundCloud is not for you, goodbye. And f***ing delete you, dude.'” He later claimed he was banned for this because Twitch didn’t buy the classic defense that it was just a “joke.” -
10.
Trainwrecks Gets Banned From Twitch
Some streamers really write their own punchlines. For example, with a name like Trainwrecks, you’d expect this streamer to not derail his own streaming hobby.
But that’s exactly what Trainwrecks did in November of 2017. He just couldn’t contain his inner incel any longer and began absolutely going off about female streamers, calling certain streamers “sluts” and saying they needed to “put the p---- where it belongs, on the fucking ground.”
He received a temporary suspension and issued the usual lukewarm apology. But then he managed to get banned again less than a year later for doing the same incel BS he had been doing before.
