It’s the heist of the century. Someone in Florida walked into a Bass Pro Shops, used a giant net to remove one of the fish, then walked out — and the police have no idea who it was.

According to a Facebook post from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the person, who appears to be a teenager, walked into the store holding the net. From there, he approached the store’s fish pond and plunged his net into the waters, managing to snag a 50-pound tarpon. Afterward, he walked out, with no one knowing who he was, where he was going and why on earth he wanted the fish.

Since the incident, the search has been on for the boy and his fish. Sergeant Sarah Rodriguez told USA Today/For the Win Outdoors that they’re “working to follow leads in the case,” but seeing as it’s been nine days and there’s still no sign of the kid nor his fish, I would say that he’s more or less gotten away with it.

Again, why the kid decided to do this, and with this fish specifically, is unclear. The video shows someone behind him who may be filming him, so it’s possible this is one big YouTube prank. Alternatively, maybe the teen was just hungry (even though tarpon makes a pretty terrible meal).

Regardless, the Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers have put out a call asking for all those with details about the person to come forward. If your tip leads to this dude’s arrest, they say they’ll give you a cash reward.

So, if you recognize this dude — or if you’ve spotted a suspicious 50-pound fish on Craigslist recently — reach out to them.
