When you go to a gun range, there are some pretty clear rules that you must follow. First, always keep your barrel pointed down-range. Second, always keep your barrel pointed down-range. Third, hey, dick, I said keep your barrel pointed down-range!

This rule exists because it’s far and away the easiest method to prevent people from accidentally shooting each other in the face (ignoring the “not letting those people have a gun in the first place” option).

That said, some people always think that they’re better than this rule, and so, they violate it — proving why we need to have the rule in the first place.
