Move over “Try That In A Small Town,” because the next controversial right-wing rally song is here and it’s called “Rich Men North of Richmond” by Oliver Anthony. And like with Jason Aldean’s country tune, it’s being meme'd to the Mason-Dixon line and back, this time for its not-so-subtle lyrics like “the obese milkin' welfare,” and “Taxes ought not to pay for your bags of fudge rounds.”



Anthony’s concerns over wage stagnation and tax misplacement are valid, but shifting the blame to other struggling Americans seems hypocritical in a song claiming to target the rich.
