Three mischievous Uzbek boys recently proved that the eternal flame in St. Petersburg, Russia isn’t so eternal after all, getting their families booted from the country after extinguishing the war memorial’s eponymous fire.

The boys — two brothers ages 10 and 14, and their 12-year-old pal — took typical pre-teen hijinks a little too far on Sunday, after covering the flame with piles of snow.

While only one of the boys was actually responsible for dousing the fire — the other two appearing to egg him on in video footage of the incident — the Russian government decided to crack down after the clip was posted to local media site, Fontanka.

According to Russia's Interior Ministry, all three boys and their respective families are set to be kicked out of the country, alleging they lacked proper documentation, per Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

So take it from these soon-to-be deported boys — in post-soviet Russia, fire douses you.
