If you’ve got kids, you can’t always just leave them at home in front of the TV. Sometimes, you have to bring them places — a move that causes some people to inexplicably hate your guts.

Recently, a new mother brought her baby to a restaurant. Cute, right? Wrong, says one seemingly very intoxicated woman. Instead of just leaving the new parent alone, this woman decided to make her presence known by telling the mother to get the hell out of her drinking area.

“You’re an idiot,” the woman says. “Get your fucking kid out of the bar!”

Now, we don’t know what happened before this. Maybe the kid was crying incredibly loud. Regardless, the woman’s response is pretty out of pocket, especially given the fact that you can always just go to a different bar — or drink until you can’t hear the sound of the baby crying anymore.

Other guests and staff appeared to agree, as the woman was soon asked to leave by pretty much everyone who could get close enough to tell her.

It’s one thing if you’re bringing a baby into a loud, crowded bar. I understand the concern there. But as a child of the American Midwest, I can safely say that bringing your kid into a tavern is really not that big of a deal. Hell, in the state of Wisconsin, you can even drink with your kid in a bar. That’s freedom, baby!
