Jet skis are, for all their fun, dangerous — especially when you don’t follow the rules.

This isn’t me being a scold telling you not to ride a jet ski. Go out there and have a good time, I really couldn’t care less. However, just be mindful of your surroundings — jet ski riders have been known to hit and kill swimmers, and if you’re not careful, you could end up lost at sea like DJ Khaled.

Now, a kid ripping through a no wake zone has learned a lesson about following the rules the hard way.

In the video, a kid can be seen going way, way too fast in such an area. While no wake zones are sometimes put in place to stop unwanted noise from reaching nearby areas, they can also have real benefits, such as protecting local wildlife, preventing unnecessary erosion and stopping boaters from slamming into walls and docks in narrow waterways.

It seems like the latter was the reason for the no wake zone, as the kid learned.

“What happened? You fuck the jet ski up?” says the person filming the video, clearly taking pleasure in the tiny tyrant’s broken jet ski. “That’s what happens when you fuck around.”
