Though it may be mid-September, Hot ET Summer is still in full swing after scientists unveiled two alleged alien corpses during a UFO hearing before Mexico’s congress on Tuesday.
Boasting two three-fingered hands and long heads reminiscent of their big-screen cousin, E.T., these bodies, which are thought to be anywhere from 700 to 1,800 years old, were reportedly unearthed from Cusco, Peru back in 2017.

“These specimens are not part of our terrestrial evolution,” Ufologist Jaime Maussan told lawmakers, per an English translation of the hearing from Spanish news outlet Marca.
“This is the first time it [extraterrestrial life] is presented in such a form,” he continued, noting that the bodies “were found in diatom mines and were later fossilized.”
“I think there is a clear demonstration that we are dealing with non-human specimens that are not related to any other species in our world,” he continued.

Despite Maussan’s apparent conviction that we are not alone, not everyone was convinced of the aliens’ legitimacy.
Beyond Maussan’s past association with debunked claims surrounding alien life, as The Independent reported, some Reddit conspiracy theorists weren’t sold for a much different reason — the specimens' arts-and-crafts-a— appearance.
“Bruh, this looks like sawdust on paper mache,” Redditor HelperNoHelper commented on a thread shared to conspiracy subreddit r/NonCredibleDefense. “I’m perpetually in awe at the level of cognitive dissonance required to distrust literally everything except the thing you desperately want to be true.”

“The aliens subreddit has bought into this hook, line and sinker,” added u/SteelyEyedHistory. “It would be hilarious if not so sad.”
While the legitimacy of these species has yet to be seen, one thing is certain — even dead, centuries-old aliens are not immune to the horrors of Rule 34.
“I want to see [footage] of those aliens f—king now,” wrote u/ZDTreefur.
