Justin Roiland is free, but not innocent. The Rick and Morty creator was facing one felony count of domestic battery with corporal injury in addition to one felony count of false imprisonment by menace, violence, fraud, and/or deceit, according to Variety. The charges which stemmed from a January 2020 incident involving a Jane Doe he was dating at the time, have all been dropped.
The disgraced writer posted a photo to his Instagram and Twitter with a one-word caption; “Justice.”

Roiland, who turned off the comments on his Instagram post, was bombarded on Twitter by users who weren’t going to let him forget about those DMs. Twitter user Leroy Patterson wasn’t having any of it stating, “I’m so disappointed in you, dude.” While the account EliotETC made their feelings known “Ok. What about the whole "sexting teenagers" thing though man.”
Ok and all the DM's to teenage girls? pic.twitter.com/mEOoP7w8OG

Okay so can you explain the DMs then?

That doesn't unsend all the creepy ass DM's to underage girls.

So disappointed in you dude.
Early this year, Adult Swim made it clear that Rick and Morty would be moving on without Roiland after the domestic assault charges were made public. It’s no secret that working in the Television industry has its financial benefits. Twitter user FKAsocks said what we’re all thinking, “Yeah man being rich enough to get a case thrown out definitely means you didn't send those DMS to a minor, dude.”
Dude it was felony charges not your Exs word whatever plea bargaining you got up to proves youre rich not that your innocent

If this is the last time I have to look at something that Roiland has written, then I can die happy. It’s clear that Adult Swim, Hulu, and Squanch Games want absolutely nothing to do with this man anymore, and good on them for cutting ties. Karma comes for everyone, and Roiland’s time has come and gone.
